Why "No Traffic Rules" to Politicians/VIPs?

Many times I felt weird about this issue; I feel it should be a serious concern for us.

Why do they block the traffic whenever a VIP or Politician passes through??”

I understand Security is important for them. But is it at the cost of common man convenience & time? Everyone are busy, every ones time is precious in their own way?

Why do they have to barricade the roads? Do they assume people are to be restrained?

My only question is “Why a politician or VIP should be kept away from the traffic?"

Have you ever seen a traffic cop making way for an Ambulance? NO... At least me, has never seen? So what is the priority here? Do you think is this right system?

Dear Cops,

Allow our so called leaders/VIPS etc to experience the traffic and the real world rather speaking nonsense sitting in AC rooms and traveling in AC cars.

They are also the part of Indian society, laws, rules and regulations apply to them and they should be imposed on them.Allow them to follow the traffic rules...
In fact each and every law that is applicable to the common man.

Dear Citizens,

Let’s not be the mere spectators, just cursing them (in fact like me who is venting anger through a blog). I feel we should protest and raise voice against these situations.

After all, we gave them power, not to destroy us but to take care of us. This in fact is not happening.

This is what I feel at this moment. I welcome your comments/ suggestions.

PM's statement on Anna Hazare's arrest:What our PM says!!!

The Prime Minister conceded to the demands of a united Opposition and made a statement this morning in parliament on Anna Hazare's arrest. "It is my painful duty to report on the events of yesterday," Dr Manmohan Singh said. He stressed that the Delhi Police "had no choice" but to arrest Mr Hazare and that while his government "acknowledges the right of citizens to hold peaceful protests," conditions that guarantee law and order will not be disturbed need to be met.

"Our government does not seek any confrontation with any section of the society. But when some sections of society deliberately challenge the authority of the Government and the prerogative of Parliament, it is the bounden duty of the Government to maintain peace and tranquility," said the PM.

The Opposition protested loudly, indicating that the government's Anna crisis is escalating. Mr Hazare himself has refused to leave Tihar Jail, where he was moved last evening.

The 74-year-old Gandhian was arrested in Delhi yesterday in the morning for stating that he would defy prohibitory orders by trying to hold a protest at JP Park in Delhi. He was taken to Tihar Jail around 4 pm, after he refused to give an undertaking that he would not hold his planned protest. After much public criticism in the form of demonstrations and candlelight vigils in support of Mr Hazare, the Delhi Police decided last night to release Mr Hazare.

However, he has refused, stating that he will not leave Tihar till he is promised in writing that the government will not force any conditions upon him for his hunger strike and demonstration against corruption.

"Those who believe that their voice and their voice alone represents the will of 1.2 billion people should reflect deeply on that position. They must allow the elected representatives of the people in Parliament to do the job that they were elected for," Dr Singh said.

Hundreds of supporters are waiting outside Tihar Jail for Mr Hazare.  The Left, BJP and other opposition parties like Mulayam Singh Yadav's Samajwadi Party (SP) warned yesterday that they would not allow parliament to function till the PM explained the government's action against Mr Hazare. The BJP stressed that while the party may not agree with Mr Hazare's charter of demands, his arrest amounts to "a murder of democracy."

The PM in the Lok Sabha explained in detail the chain of events that preceded Mr Hazare's arrest including negotiations between the Delhi Police and Mr Hazare's team for the protest they were planning in Delhi.  The PM reiterated what the government said in its defense all day yesterday as public protests swelled in the streets -"Mr Hazare and his supporters would have been allowed to hold their protests if they had accepted the conditions."  The police wanted Mr Hazare to limit his hunger strike to three days and his supporters to 5,000.

"The question is who drafts the law and who makes the law," said the PM.  "The path chosen by Shree Hazare to impose his draft upon Parliament is misconceived," he added.  The Opposition has said it does not accept the government's stand that Mr Hazare's attempt to challenge the Lokpal Bill is an undermining of Parliamentary democracy.

In Parliament, the government has chosen to introduce its version, angering Mr Hazare, who wanted his draft to also be considered.

Telangana, Please don’t take it before its given

I reached signal at one of the Hyderabad's most busy areas, like I do every other day. I had to stop for the Green lamp to glow and was hoping for it to happen soon, like every other hyderabadi on road. Was looking around observing all cars ( habit which my friend Vishwas developed in me). I was shocked, and surprised to see one, which though looks pretty simple yet unusual and raised so many questions in my mind even after the Green lamp on the traffic signal was lit.

look at this number plate..

image

Well, I know its hard to figure out form this pic. Couldn’t do better, managing my bike in hyderabad traffic. The number plate reads “ TG 29 xxxx”

I just wondered for a while if there is any state “TG” and looked at the side  sticker that reads “AP 29 xxxx”. I observed the number plate again and realized that the letters “TG” were pasted upon the original letters “AP”

Is this not shocking? what do police  on roads do? is this not against the law ( to have a vehicle registered on the name of the state  which doesn’t even exist as of now? ). Is this not a bigger violation of law, than not having a pollution certificate or not having a number plate without white or yellow background, which our traffic police usually bother so much about.

Lets keep our law makers and safe guarders aside for a while. How about, talking about someone who is more important, that is “us”.

Don’t that owner of the car or to that matter, all of us have better jobs to do than supporting or fighting for a cause which is only going to benefit politicians, their sons and grand sons?

Well, I am not asking every one to come out of their homes / offices to fight, if you are busy with your life, so be it.. on the other hand if you think you have time and love working for social causes, we have better issues like working on improving our traffic conditions on roads which are congested.

IMAG0068IMG-20110803-00161

or providing food for people on roads and kids who find it hard to have a meal a day

IMG-20110727-00145

or working on improving the slums, where people find it hard to figure out road out of garbage spread across, let alone the condition of potable water or fresh air

IMAG0018

How about the business we lost, industries that were supposed to start up, but were canceled and alined small scale industries and jobs that would have been created. Every thing gone and many dreams shattered just because a politician and bunch of his followers wanted to rip a piece out of a state, to make their own lockers over flow with cash, which needs killing and starving many innocent people, whom I am not and no one are capable of capturing in their cameras.

Note: I neither am a supporter of Samakhya Andhra nor am I opposing the formation of Telangana. All that I wanted to convey is “ lets work for causes that lead to the a better society, a peaceful place or  educated community. If you think you are busy to do, lets mind our jobs and leave bull shit to politicians”.

Hoping not to read another news paper or come across any news that says “another student or another innocent kills him / herself for Telangana”

May I have a Minute ?

It was 1.00 AM , old Sarada was still awake, looking at the door eagerly. Suddenly, a taxi arrives. Elated Sarada runs towards the gate, paused for a moment, her eyes were filled with tears to see her son after 10 years.

She hugs her son and invites them into the house. Sarada is a widow, who is a retired teacher. She struggled a lot to bring up her son, gave him good education. He is a Green card holder settled in USA and came to India to see his mother after 10 years.

In the morning, Sarada takes her family to the temple. She proudly introduces her son to the priest and the known people in the temple. Everyone start praising her son, and reveals that he has given a high donation to the old age home which the Government has never taken care of . Sarada heart filled with contentment and was happy to see her son is helping the needy.

After Lunch, they start sharing the things. In the middle of conversation her son says:

“Mother, If you come and stay with us in America, as you know that me and my wife are busy with our work and we could not be able to give proper attention towards you. So, we both have discussed and finalized that we will join you in a old age home.So that you can have comfortable life and that is the reason I have donated a high amount to the old age home.”

After hearing the reason, Sarada heart breaks and her eyes just start flooding with tears…

With no words left to speak, Sarada ask her son to leave the house

NOTE TO ALL

You & me, everyone attains old age, so don’t think that your parents are burden for you. They cared for you ever since you entered this world. They have shown always selfless love on you and you don’t be selfish now. They have sacrificed many things in their life to see you as what you are today in this society.

Remember Your happiness lies in friends, parties, pubs, shopping etc but you are the only happiness to your parents

Be humble to them, take care of them, and don’t leave them when they need you most. All they need is your love and affection

Take a pledge today that “You will serve your old parents in the BEST way you can and will never hurt them in any way, no matter how tough it may be.”
